riopackTk is a perl script that will create a randomized mix of mp3 files from your collection to fit into the memory of your rio portable mp3 player. It's based on riopack, but has a nice Tk gui, and some additional features: double click a file in the list to remove it and replace it with another randomly selected mp3 file. It will also keep digging through your mp3's until it finds one that fits in the remaining memory.
